About

Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Society (SVES) has been formed to provide scholarships and other financial support for educational institutions in the nation of India. The institutions (“Institutions”) include

Sree Vidyanikethan International School,

Sree Vidyanikethan College of Engineering,

Sree Vidyanikethan Institute of Management,

Sree Vidyanikethan College for PG Studies,

Sree Vidyanikethan College of Pharmacy,

Sree Vidyanikethan College of Nursing, and

Sree Vidyanikethan Degree College,

located in Tirupati and Hyderabad, Republic of India.

The Institutions are the brainchild of an Indian screen actor, producer and instructor, Dr. M. Mohan Babu. He is a former Member of Parliament of the Republic of India, and received that nation’s Padma Shiri award in 2007. His vision has been to make quality education possible for all, with facilities that could lead to all-round progress of the child. The motto of the school – ‘Swadesho Bhuvanatrayam’ – has a wide connotation, while the institution is a blend of multi-cultural, plural society enriched by traditions and values.

The object of the Institutions is to provide an education to all children and other students, regardless of background, and now serve more than 10,000 students.

SVES will support the Institutions through fundraising activities in the United States, including fundraising solicitations through telephone calls, email solicitation and personal contacts. Other charitable organizations will be contacted for grants or donations for the benefit of the Institutions. Fundraising activities will be marketed primarily to the Indian expatriate and Indian-American communities here, as well as to other Americans who share the Institutions’ goals of improved access to high-quality education for Indian children and young people. SVES will accept donations made through the U.S. website for the Institutions, http://www.sreevidyanikethan.org. SVES will also rely on direct-mail fundraising and other fundraising strategies. SVES will minimize administrative overhead, in order to maximize the level of funding to the Institutions and scholarship programs.
